SunEdison named Claire Gogel, formerly of David Einhorn's hedge fund Greenlight Capital, to its board of directors. Greenlight Capital has a 6.8 percent stake in the troubled solar and wind developer.
Kevin Johnson is co-founder and CCO at CleanCapital, a company that allows "investors -- including institutional investors, family offices, and funds -- to easily invest in secure and diversified clean energy projects, and simultaneously provide sponsors an easy way to exit clean energy assets." Johnson was previously managing director for the federal and microgrid business development group at Canadian Solar.
Sandor Nagy joined NEXTracker as senior VP of global supply chain. Nagy was most recently COO at CTB/McGraw-Hill, managing operations, quality, technology and customer delivery.
Southern Company's Joseph A. "Buzz" Miller, executive VP of nuclear development for Georgia Power and president of nuclear development for Southern Nuclear, has been elected president and CEO of Southern Power. Georgia Power and Southern Nuclear "are further aligning the Vogtle 3 & 4 organization to best achieve upcoming project milestones."
Cheryl Martin is joining the World Economic Forum as the Head of Centre for Global Industries. Martin recently led part of New York state's comprehensive Reforming the Energy Vision strategy. Before that, she served as acting director of the DOE’s ARPA-E program while also serving as the agency’s deputy director for commercialization.
As GTM reported, Laney Brown left Iberdrola (now Avangrid) and her role as director of smart grid planning and programs to join a small consulting practice based in Portland, Maine, Modern Grid Partners. Brown was involved in several REV demo projects for New York utilities.
John DeBoever was promoted to VP of eastern sales at flow battery vendor UniEnergy Technologies.
Justin Baca was promoted to VP of markets and research at SEIA.
Peter De Mare, previously with U.S. Green Building Council and New Resource Bank, is now director of business development at electrochromic glass company View.
Matthew Koenig, formerly of Princeton Power, is now sales manager with Lockheed Martin's energy storage group.

Ratson Morad is now COO at Sunpreme. Most recently Morad was COO and VP R&D at Cogenra Solar, which was acquired by SunPower last year. Morad has also served as COO at DayStar Technologies and VP of engineering and technology at Solyndra.
