Today, GTM Research welcomes six new member companies to the Grid Edge Executive Council: Duke Energy, Embertec, Enphase Energy, EPRI, SunEdison and 3M. These companies join the council’s 70 existing members to form the grid industry’s most forward-thinking network of utility and power leaders.

Member companies receive a host of benefits, including enterprise-level access to all grid edge research reports, exclusive market briefings, the Grid Edge Deployment Tracker and regular contact with GTM Research analysts. In addition, council members converge six times every year for interactive meetings and networking.

Below is the schedule of the next three in-person meetings.

Today members are meeting in Chattanooga, Tennessee at council member EPB's headquarters to discuss the changing paradigms in grid-edge reliability. In between a networking breakfast and lunch, GTM Research analysts will present case studies, and EPB will showcase how it is using data to better operate the electric system and visualize its network.

"Recent extreme weather and the integration of intermittent energy resources pose new challenges in delivering reliable electric service," said GTM Research's Grid Edge Director Steve Propper. "We're excited to visit EPB's headquarters to see how the company is approaching grid reliability in the transformation to a more distributed grid."

The Grid Edge Executive Council will meet again in April prior to Greentech Media's Solar Summit Conference in Phoenix.
