Greentech Media announces today that Stephen Lacey is joining its award-winning journalist staff as Senior Editor, primarily focusing on the energy efficiency market. Lacey has extensive experience reporting on the business and politics of cleantech. He was formerly Deputy Editor of Climate Progress, a climate and energy blog based at the Center for American Progress. He was also an editor/producer with Renewable Energy World. He received a B.A. in journalism from Franklin Pierce University.

There are a lot of great stories to tell in this area, and we hope to better capture the diverse range of activity,” Lacey said about his new position. He will also be reviving his popular renewable energy podcast through Greentech Media’s “Take Five” series.
Lacey joins other recent key hires, including David Groarke, Senior Analyst, Smart Grid, meant to deepen Greentech Media’s coverage of smart grid technologies, deployments and the electric power industry. “I am particularly excited about a great year ahead for the smart grid research practice,” Groarke said of joining the GTM Research team after eight years at Accenture, where he worked with leading utilities worldwide on smart grid deployments.
In addition to providing thought-leading content for industry professionals working in solar, smart grid, energy efficiency, wind and other sustainable technologies, Lacey and Groarke will continue to make Greentech Media a leading resource for organizations trying to reach influencers in the cleantech industry.
