Executive Moves
Vivint, the home automation and solar rooftop financier, named Todd Thompson as chief information officer.
SolarBridge, a provider of PV microinverters, appointed Bill Mulligan as president and CEO. In May, Mulligan was named executive chairman after working at SunPower as VP of R&D from 1998 to 2010. Prior to SunPower, Mulligan held roles at JX Crystals, NREL, and AstroPower. Ron Van Dell, former president and CEO, will "continue to serve the company as an advisor."
The California Solar Energy Industries Association named Bernadette Del Chiaro as its new executive director. Del Chiaro was formerly Director of Clean Energy and Global Warming Programs at Environment California.

Board of Director Moves
Dr. Jeffrey W. Evenson, Corning SVP, will serve on View’s board of directors. View builds an electrochromic window glass that claims to solve the cost challenge that has long stymied this innovative building efficiency technology.
Plug Power (PLUG), a perennial money-losing fuel cell firm, has added Eric Prades, CEO of Air Liquide Advanced Business, to its board of directors. Prades joins the Plug Power board as part of a strategic $6.5 million investment and what would seem a potential lead-up to an acquisition.
Dr. Michael Bartholomeusz, founder and one-time CEO of now-shuttered CIGS thin-film solar firm AQT, has joined Banyan Energy as a board member, joining Rami Elkhatib and Rusty Schmit on the board. Banyan is working on a low-concentration PV solution for use with silicon photovoltaics at a 5X to 10X concentration.
