September 25, 2018 – At the Solar Power International 2018 show in Anaheim, California, leading ICT and energy solutions provider Huawei is introducing the innovative Smart PV Solutions for the U.S. market.
Keeping up with the digitization trend, each solution is flexible to meet the theme “Roads to a Digital PV World”, including FusionSolar 1500V Smart PV Solution, FusionSolar 1000V Smart PV Solution, FusionHome Smart Energy Solution.
For the Utility-Scale and DG scenarios, Huawei introduces SUN2000-100KTL and SUN2000-33/36/40KTL at SPI this year. With multi maximum power point trackers (MPPTs) design, it could reduce string mismatch and increase the yield by more than 2%. The system works at higher yields, smart O&M, and less balance of system (BOS). Quick fault recovery and no professional personnel onsite can be achieved through Smart PV management system. Smart IV Curve Diagnosis can achieve online diagnosis for whole PV plant. This enables PV module faults to be detected remotely by one click, removing the need for on-site inspections, significantly reducing O&M costs.
The Huawei FusionHome Smart Energy Solution is designed to simplify the user experience and provide the installer with an “All-in-One” solution that incorporates connections for solar PV modules as well as high voltage Li-ion battery packs. Designed for easy compatibility with third-party finance platforms, the FusionHome platform is available with integrated Revenue Grade Meter (RGM) and both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE communication options. The integrated, DC-coupled battery storage interface allows for easy access and the flexibility to add batteries anytime.
Huawei FusionHome Smart PV Optimizers can maximize space utilization on the most complex rooftops, enabling modules to be installed in shade-prone areas and in various directions, which leads to energy yields increased by 5% - 30% and makes the system suitable for any roof configuration across the residential market. The Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the global leader in product safety testing and certification, has issued UL 1741, UL 1699B certificates for small residential inverters, and the first UL 62109-1, UL 1741SA, and Rapid Shutdown System (UL 1741) to the Huawei FusionHome PV inverters.
For years 2015, 2016 and 2017, Huawei was the largest inverter company in the world by shipments according to 2018 reports from GTM research™.
