On September 27, as a follow-on event to Greentech Media’s REV Future conference, the Urban Future Lab will host its third and final venture showcase for the year.
Leading startups will pitch to early-stage investors in energy and cleantech innovation, with award-winning companies that range from a microgrid controls and demand-response technology business to an energy-efficiency financing startup for the residential home market. The seed-stage companies pitching will be Resonant Energy, SparkCharge, and Envairo.
The companies pitching at the Series A stage and above will be Go Electric Inc., Sealed, ThermoLift, SulfCrete and Geli.
Urban Future Lab, a part of NYU Tandon School of Engineering, is New York City’s leading incubator for clean energy and smart cities startups. Since 2009, it has advised and provided office space for venture-backed companies making meaningful impact on the climate economy.
Incubated companies have been backed by major investors such as Energy Impact Partners, Engie New Ventures, Statoil Energy Ventures, Total Energy Ventures and Tepco. Multiple companies from the incubator have also been awarded Greentech Media’s Grid Edge Award.
