Enecsys CEO Mike Fister left the microinverter firm last month. He has been replaced by COO Kevin Bushby. Enecsys went public on London's AIM last year.
EnerNOC, a provider of "energy intelligence" software, hired Eric Erston as VP of global enterprise sales. Previously, Erston served in sales leadership roles at RSA, the security division of EMC, a provider of cloud-based data backup and recovery services.
Stephanie Smith, COO of Sol Systems, a solar energy investment firm with more than 171 megawatts financed, is leading the firm’s West Coast expansion in its new California office. Carl Jackson joined Sol Systems as director of project finance, based in Philadelphia. Jackson comes to Sol Systems from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Katherine Janik will build out the firm’s asset management practice in Washington, D.C. as its new senior director of asset management. Janik joins Sol Systems from the DOE, where she managed portfolio reporting for the renewable energy loan portfolio.
OneEnergy Renewables, a PV project developer, named Russ Wright as VP of sales and marketing. Wright served as director of sales for Phoenix Solar U.S. He also served as head of North American sales for Lanco, an independent power producer in India; VP of business development at Solar Nation, a commercial solar EPC company; and national sales manager, channels at SunEdison.
Algenol, a firm aspiring to economically produce algae-based fuels, added Timothy Zenk as EVP of business development. Zenk is former senior VP of corporate development for Sapphire Energy, another algae firm. Algenol claims its technology "enables the production of the four most important fuels (ethanol, gasoline, jet, and diesel fuel) for around $1.30 per gallon each using proprietary algae, sunlight, carbon dioxide and saltwater at production levels of 8,000 total gallons of liquid fuel per acre per year."
GridBridge, a power delivery systems startup, added three staff members. Kevin Vasilik, formerly with GE Intelligent Platforms, has been hired as lead software engineer. Joey Anstett, previously with Salix Technologies, Hatteras Networks, and IES Lighting, has been added as senior hardware engineer. Dr. Fei Wang, a researcher in power electronics-based converter technology, has been hired as senior power engineer.
Aclara Technologies, a software and services provider for utilities, added Greg Wilson as senior VP of engineering and technology. Most recently, Wilson was VP at Harris Corporation's RF Communications. Aclara is owned by Sun Capital Partners.

- Ilya Fushman, once a principal at Khosla Ventures, is now head of product, business and mobile at Dropbox.
- Benny Bueller, once a greentech investor and solar PV expert at Khosla Ventures, is now CEO of Velo 3D, a 3-D printing firm.
- Dharmesh Thakker, once a cleantech VC at ATV, has joined Battery Ventures as a general partner, after a stint as managing director with Intel Capital.
- Jason Matlof, once a cleantech VC at Battery Ventures, is now chief marketing officer at LightCyber, a breach detection firm helmed by former Pythagoras Solar CEO Gonen Fink.
- Victor Westerlind, formerly a general partner at cleantech investment firm RockPort Capital, is now a director at Intel Capital.
Meanwhile, Eric Warner has joined SAIL Capital Partners, a U.S.-based private equity firm focused on "sustainable innovation," as a managing director in the firm's new London office. He previously was co-CEO and head of investor relations at Altius Associates.
CLEAResult, a designer and coordinator of energy efficiency programs for utilities, governments, schools and businesses, named David Mehok as CFO. Mehok joins CLEAResult after serving as Dell’s executive director of finance for preferred accounts (U.S.) and commercial (Canada). The company has more than 1,500 employees in more than 40 cities across the U.S. and Canada. It is backed by General Atlantic, a growth equity firm.
Trina Solar named Zhiguo Zhu as a member of the board of directors and as COO. Trina also appointed Sean Shao as an independent director and member of the audit committee of the board.
India's large solar developer and power producer Azure Power named Diane Farrell as director of its board. Farrell is also currently the acting president at U.S.-India Business Council. Before the USIBC, she served on the board of directors at the U.S. Export-Import Bank.
Michael Pacilio, Exelon Nuclear's president and chief nuclear officer since 2010, has been named executive VP and COO of Exelon Generation. Bryan Hanson, Exelon Nuclear COO, has been promoted to SVP of Exelon Generation, and president and chief nuclear officer of Exelon Nuclear, replacing Pacilio. Exelon Nuclear is a business unit of Exelon Generation, a subsidiary of Exelon, a competitive energy provider with 2013 revenues of ~$25 billion and 35,000 megawatts of owned capacity. Exelon has the largest nuclear fleet in the U.S.
SunLink, a maker of commercial PV mounting products, named Michael Maulick as its new CEO. Current SunLink CEO Christopher Tilley will be stepping down. Prior to joining SunLink, Maulick was managing director of Maulick Capital, an investment and consulting firm. The management change occurs as SunLink receives funding from "new and existing investors," including Angeleno Group, Summit Capital, Columbia Pacific Advisors, Clean Pacific Ventures and Murano Group. The firm builds roof- and ground-mount systems, combiner boxes and wire management equipment.
