Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, Sunrun

Ed co-founded Sunrun to make solar affordable for American families. He oversees capital raising and legislative and regulatory affairs. Under his leadership, Sunrun has enjoyed uninterrupted access to project finance throughout its history. Ed has worked to shape public and industry policy with the goal of building a sustainable solar industry. Before Sunrun, Ed served as Director of Corporate Development at Asurion Corporation. He also worked at The Blackstone Group, completing more than $10 billion in private equity and M&A transactions. Ed is a 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner with Lynn Jurich, a member of the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, and serves as an Advisory Partner to Millennium Technology Value Partners. Disrupting the energy industry comes naturally to Ed - when Ed's preschool teacher asked him what his favorite thing was, he replied, "Electricity!"

Jeff Zhou
President, Hanergy Holding America

Dr. Zhou is a senior business executive with over 20 years of industry experience at multi-national corporations with global footprints. He current serves as the President of Hanergy Holding America, a fully owned subsidiary of Hanergy Holding Group.   Before joining Hanergy America, Dr. Zhou was Vice President of Product Engineering at Nanosolar. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Zhou was Vice President of Engineering, General Manager of Asia Pacific Business, and Chief Operating Officer at NDS Surgical Imaging. From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Zhou was Vice President of Engineering for several business divisions and General Manager of the China and India Design Centers at Flextronics Inc. From 2000 to 2005, he was Vice President and General Manager of several divisions at Honeywell International Inc. Dr. Zhou also serves as a board member for Monolithic Power Systems, a NASDAQ listed publicly traded company. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Jorge Vargas
Vice President, Morgan Stanley | Commodities

Mr. Vargas joined Morgan Stanley in 2011.  He is the Head of Residential Solar and member of the origination and structuring team at MS Solar Solutions Corp.  Mr. Vargas started his career in the Investment Banking Divisions of JP Morgan and Banc of America Securities in New York.  In 2005, Mr. Vargas joined Lennar Corporation, where he held a number of management positions in Lennar Ventures, Lennar Financial Services and its distressed debt subsidiary, Rialto Capital.  Mr. Vargas was active in the development of Lennar’s Green Strategy and successfully launched one of the first Residential Solar Leasing Funds in California.

Petra Leue
Chief Operating Officer, Sky Solar

Ms. Leue-Bahns is focusing on the optimization of day-to-day operations and is dedicated to create reliable and effective renewable energy solutions for our clients and business partners. Ms. Leue-Bahns adds extensive and valuable experience in the design and implementation of value-creating operational processes for a globally active developer of renewable energy solutions. Specifically, Ms. Leue-Bahns will be responsible for both project and business development for al l global regions, excluding China & Japan; Taking charge of global EPC execution including but not limited to engineering, procurement, supply chain management and the standardization of bidding procedures; Global O&M of capitalized assets, inclusive of China and Japan. Full responsibility for Sky Wind, its business plans, operations and business development. Having spent more than 15 years in the renewable energy industry, with 9 of those years spent in senior management positions Ms. Leue-Bahns has earned and enjoys an excellent reputation, a valuable global network and extensive industry expertise. Ms. Leue-Bahns’ professional background is in Investment Banking where she specialized in structured asset finance in the energy and infrastructure sector.
